The Old Fashioned is the very definition of the word 'cocktail'. Born in the 19th century, it exalts the pure flavor of Whiskey (usually Bourbon or Rye) lightly seasoned with sugar and Angostura bitters. It is a strong, complex and elegantly mature drink.
